Areca Capital Sdn Bhd today declared an income distribution of 0.16 sen per unit for its Areca enhancedINCOME Fund for the financial year ending 30 June 2015. This income distribution, the first for current financial year, which amounted to a total of RM363,000 followed a unit split exercise for the Fund which was declared last month. The income distribution will be automatically reinvested into additional units of the Fund at the Fund’s net asset value per unit at the end of today.

Areca enhancedINCOME Fund, launched in July 2007, aims to provide long-term investors with high level of income stream and an opportunity for capital preservation. Since its inception, the Fund has generated a total return of 36.2% as of 31 July 2014, as compared to its benchmark (Maybank’s 12-month fixed deposit rate) total return of 23.9%.
