ARECA CAPITAL DECLARES INCOME DISTRIBUTION OF RM28.6 MILLION FOR 3 FUNDS

Areca Capital would like to announce the income distribution for:
1) Areca Steady fixedIncome Fund (ASFIF) at 18.0 sen per unit
2) Areca Flexi fixedIncome Fund (AFFIF) at 18.0 sen per unit
3) Areca Islamic Cash Fund (AICF) at 0.36 sen per unit
ASFIF strives to provide sophisticated investors with a stable stream of income while maintaining capital stability by investing in Fixed Income Investments over medium to long term investment horizon. Since the fund started investing on 11th May 2009, ASFIF has generated a total return of 101.07% as of 28th June 2022, as compared to its benchmark’s (Maybank’s 12-month fixed deposit rate) total return of 45.43%.
Meanwhile, AFFIF seeks to provide sophisticated investors with relatively steady income and moderate capital appreciation over a short to medium term by investing in Fixed Income Investments. Since the fund started investing on 3rd January 2012, AFFIF has generated a total return of 101.12% as of 28th June 2022, as compared to its benchmark’s (Maybank’s 6-month fixed deposit rate) total return of 34.81%.
Finally, AICF was launched on 18th June 2015, with the goal of providing investors with regular income from Shariah-compliant investments. Since its inception, AICF has generated a total return of 18.21% as of 28th June 2022, as compared to its benchmark’s (Maybank Islamic 1-month REPO rate) total return of 16.79%.
