RM1.77 MILLION INCOME DISTRIBUTIONS FOR ARECA CAPITAL’S INVESTORS

Petaling Jaya, 30 August 2019:

Areca Capital Sdn Bhd is pleased to announce today a total of RM 1.77 million income distributions for two of the funds under its management. The net income distributions for the two funds are as follows:

Areca Situational Income 2.0 Fund (ASI2.0F)  –           4.80 sen per unit

Areca moneyTRUST Fund (AmTF)                    –           0.13 sen per unit

ASI2.0F was launched on 28 August 2017, the fund seeks to offer investors medium to long term combination of income and capital growth. Since its inception, ASI2.0F has generated a total return of 18.9% as of 31 July 2019, as compared to its benchmark’s (Maybank’s 12-month fixed deposit rate) total return of 6.4%.

AmTF was launched on April 2007, the fund aims to provide investors with a high level of liquidity while providing current income and capital preservation (income could be in the form of Units or cash). Since its inception, AmTF has generated a total return of 42.7% as of 31 July 2019, as compared to its benchmark’s (Maybank’s 1-month Repo rate) total return of 33.0%.
