INCOME AND CAPITAL DISTRIBUTIONS FOR ARECA SITUATIONAL INCOME FUND (ASIF)

Areca Capital Sdn Bhd has on 22 April 2019 declared an income distribution of 9.35 Sen for Areca Situational Income Fund (ASIF)

 

ASIF investment in the Medium Term Note (“MTN”) Program of Iconic Vacation Club Berhad (“Issuer”) is near its third year anniversary. The Issuer has redeemed part of the MTN amounting to RM10 million or 1/3 of the total issuance. Considering the Unit Holder’s interest and as the Manager has no intention to reinvest the redemption proceeds, the Manager has decided to make capital repayment of 1/3 of the total NAV of the Fund to the Unit Holders. 

 

ASIF a wholesale fund was launched on 1 March 2016, the fund seeks to offer investors regular income and incidental capital appreciation based on current market investment opportunities. Since its inception, ASIF has generated a total return of 30.7% as of 31 March 2019, as compared to its benchmark’s (Maybank’s 12-month fixed deposit rate) total return of 10.3%.
