Areca Capital Sdn Bhd today declared the first income distribution of 9.50 sen per unit for its Areca Situational Income Fund (ASIF) for the financial period ended 31 March 2017.

ASIF was launched on 1 March 2016, the fund seeks to offer investors regular income and incidental capital appreciation based on current market investment opportunities. Since its inception, ASIF has generated a total return of 10.0% as of 19 April 2017, as compared to its benchmark¿s (Maybank¿s 12-month fixed deposit rate) total return of 3.5%.
