ARECA CAPITAL ANNOUNCES RM 863,000 INCOME DISTRIBUTIONS FOR ITS INVESTORS

Areca Capital would like to announce a total of RM 863,000 worth of income distributions for three of the funds under its management. The net income distributions, as of the 31st of October, 2019 of the three funds are as follows:

Areca Progressive Income Fund 3.0 – 2.25 sen per unit

Areca Strategic Income Fund 3.0 – 2.25 sen per unit

Areca moneyTRUST Fund – 0.14 sen per unit

Areca Progressive Income Fund 3.0 (“APIF3.0”)

Introduced in July 2019, APIF3.0 seeks to offer investors a combination of income and capital growth. Since its inception, APIF3.0 has generated a total return of 2.3% as of 31 October, 2019, as compared to its benchmark’s (Maybank’s 12-month fixed deposit rate) total return of 1.0%.

Areca Strategic Income Fund 3.0 (“ASTIF3.0”)

On the other hand, launched this year on the 31st of May, ASTIF3.0 channels its objectives towards providing investors with a combination of income and capital growth as well. Subsequent to its initiation, ASTIF3.0 has generated a total return of 2.4% as of 31 October 2019, as compared to its benchmark’s (Maybank’s 12-month fixed deposit rate) total return of 1.3%.

Areca moneyTRUST Fund (“AmTF”)

AmTF focuses to provide investors with a high level of liquidity while providing current income and capital preservation, whereby foreseeable income could be in the form of units or cash. Commenced on the 23rd of April 2019, AmTF has generated a total return of 43.8% as of 31 October 2019, compared to its benchmark’s (Maybank’s 1-month Repo rate) total return of 33.7%.
