ARECA CAPITAL DECLARES INCOME DISTRIBUTION FOR ARECA SITUATIONAL INCOME FUND 2.0 (ASIF2.0)

Areca Capital would like to announce the income distribution for Areca Situational Income Fund 2.0 (ASIF2.0) at 2.125 sen.

The Fund invests into the Redeemable Preference Shares (RPS) issued by Iconic Vacation Club Berhad which is in the business of operates recreational centres and hotel resorts. It gives its members access to more than a thousand vacation destinations in almost 100 countries. In Malaysia, it operates under the Avani Sepang Goldcoast Resort.

Since the fund started investing in March 2020, it seeks to offer investors a medium to long term combination of income and capital growth. ASIF2.0 has generated a total return of 12.35% as of 31st August 2021, as compared to its benchmark’s (Maybank’s 12-month fixed deposit rate) total return of 2.82%.
